RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Angelino will not be available for his side’s Champions League last-16 return-leg encounter with Liverpool on Wednesday.
The Spanish left-back has missed Leipzig’s last three games in all competitions due to a muscle injury that will keep him sidelined until next month, meaning he will also miss his side’s games against Freiburg and Bielefeld.
“He has a muscle injury that doesn’t cause him any problems when he moves, but when he shoots and crosses the ball,” said Nagelsmann at the pre-match press conference.
“If we risk him, it could result in a longer period of absence,” added the RB Leipzig coach.
Marcel Sabitzer, Marcel Halstenberg and Willi Orban, on the other hand, could all feature on Wednesday.
