Confirmed: Benjamin Pavard has tested positive for coronavirus

Bayern München defender Benjamin Pavard is in self-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19, the club have confirmed.

Bayern München have confirmed reports that Benjamin Pavard has tested positive for coronavirus.



In an official statement on Thursday, the German champions announced that the French right-back has returned a positive test.

“He is currently self isolating at home. The defender is doing well,” an official statement reads.

Bayern are also currently without Thomas Müller due to a coronavirus infection, but Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez are back in training after recovering from the disease.
