Eintracht Frankfurt coach Adi Hütter would like Makoto Hasebe to sign a contact extension.
The 37-year-old Frankfurt captain is out of contract this summer, but Hütter is hoping he will stay for another season.
“If you’re 37 and still playing three games a week at the nummer six position, you can hang on for another season,” the Eintracht Frankfurt head coach told Sky after Saturday’s 2-1 win over Bayern München.
Hasebe recently said himself that he could imagine staying for another season, admitting:
“Yes, I would like to continue playing for this Eintracht side. We will talk about it in the coming weeks.”
