VfB Stuttgart coach Pellegrino Matarazzo has signed a new contract, committing himself to the club until 2024.
The 43-year-old, whose former deal was due to expires in 2022, told the Bundesliga club’s website:
“I feel very comfortable at VfB. Together with [CEO] Thomas Hitzlsperger, [sporting director] Sven Mislintat and [sports coordinator] Markus Rüdt, we have initiated a very positive development.
“I really enjoy working with the coaching and functional team and, of course, with the team. We want to take the next steps together. I would like to thank all those responsible at VfB for their trust and look forward to the future.”
After winning promotion to the Bundesliga last season, Stuttgart currently sit 10th in Germany’s top flight.
